Dr. Dykes is program director for research in the Center for Patient Safety Research and Practice at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School. Her program of research focuses on patient safety and informatics; most notably fall prevention and integration of decision support into clinical workflows for care team member use (including patients and family). Dr. Dykes is the lead investigator on the Fall TIPS studies. She is author of 2 books, over 100 peer reviewed publications, and has presented her work nationally and internationally. She is Chair-elect of the American Medical Informatics Association Board of Directors, an elected fellow of American Academy of Nursing, and an elected fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics.
